Yea Seul (Ashley) Kim

Ever since I was little, I have liked collecting “beautiful trash” because I tend to buy beautiful things that are not always very useful. I have a collection of over 40 stuffed animals and even though I don't role play anymore, I still keep them with me because they remind me of playful memories. I used to make clothes for my stuffed animals, and that was when I learned making things made me feel fulfilled. 

As time passed, I got skillful enough to make clothes and goods for myself and others. Through design, I have the ability to make things that are not only visually appealing, but also meaningful and useful. My passion is creating work that not only solves problems, but also creates the same personal satisfaction for others that I found for myself when I first made those clothes for my childhood toys.
