When you can't find the sunshine, be the sunshine. Words from my parents are instilled in my name which in both English and Korean mean a shining light. As a kid, I thought my name meant that I needed to shine under the spotlight, but as I grew up, it dawned on me that my true purpose is to make others shine. I shine a light on people and their stories through design and illustration. From the initial spark of an idea to the final brush strokes and clicks of the mouse, I'm constantly thinking about how my work can impact people's lives. To me, design is about making people feel good, filling lives with a little more sunshine.
