When I was in high school I saw a lamp that reacted to touch as if it were an animal. It was so playful and real, I felt an immediate connection to it and could see a future where we would have an emotional relationship with the products that surround us. 

As a designer, I want to shift the paradigm and envision a better future. Understanding people- how they see the world, their values, struggles, and fears- I immerse myself in brainstorming and ideation. Challenging conventional solutions, considering social norms and trends, and combining opposites, I am able to design products that focus on building an emotional relationship with people.
