Omar Ceballos, born in 1980, is an artist who specializes in painting, printmaking, sculpture, textile, ceramics, and bookmaking. He is a first-generation Mexican-American multidisciplinarian who identifies as a Chicanx artist who recognizes the cultural signifiers associated with that identity. His embrace of dual cultures includes a close examination of the geography of cultural narratives, content, symbolic, and ethnic pluralism embedded within his culture. He graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Science in 2020 and is a candidate in the Graduate Art MFA program in ArtCenter College of Design. Ceballos has exhibited in Hauser & Wirth, The Front Art Gallery, and The Centro Cultural de la Raza.
