My mind has always been more at ease when things are in their places – black t-shirts in one drawer and white in another, every skirt in my closet color coordinated, and my jeans all stacked up in separate piles organized by darkness. This inherent need for order and structure has been consistent in my life, a way to create a sense of control.
When I discovered graphic design, I realized that in this space I had the ability to combine my love of systematic thinking and rigor with moments of expressive spontaneity. I explore this through a typographic approach to create dynamic compositions and give emphasis to the small characteristics as much as the large. I am Madison Dawn, a detail oriented designer with a strong emphasis in print and brand identity.
