Scense is an navigational application that serves as a guide for destinations for desired scents. Smell is everywhere, yet there hasn’t been an application made that acts as a guide where users can visit based on that location’s scent or smell. Not only is this a navigational guide app, it is an app that is community driven as well. Users from all over the world can log their memories they had with a certain destination and scent — even finding a destination that reminds them of that memory. Memories are how we remember scents, and vise versa, scents help us remember our most precious memories as well.

Find Locations 1. Discover locations that are currently popular for its smell. 2. Find locations based on different odors. 3. Filter location search by mood. (Ex. Locations that smell relaxing, romantic, gloomy)

Although the research process was the process of a whole term, I included critical process points for my project. As the final project was to only be created after Week 10, throughout various research techniques and processes is how I got to create my final project. Through various meetings with my professor, we talked about how I can create a project that could be something that I can give to the "world." This brought up questions on how I can communicate a topic that could be beneficial to my audience. Through an interview I conducted with a professional perfumist, I also got key insights that helped me develop my final project. There are possibly millions and millions of different types of smells, some scents more meaningful to some people than others, some scents detestable to some. People should be able to explore the world through smell as well. Thus, I created an app where people could explore through smell.
