GG by GameStop

This rebrand is a proposal for how GameStop’s image and business strategy can evolve for a new generation of customers. It calls for the creation of a sub-brand titled “GG by GameStop” that engages in the new media of streaming, eSports, and next-gen hardware through flagship hub locations and cutting-edge eSport stadiums. This proposal reinvents the brand identity with a retrofuturistic bent, featuring bold typography, vivid color combinations, and action-oriented imagery and iconography.
Learning Outcomes:
The biggest learning that comes from Gerardo's method of running studio is that each application is an opportunity to further a business goal, whether for "us", the agency assigned this brief, or "them", the client company. So, in applying and translating the brand to packaging, motion, space, and screen, I learned how to think at a higher level than just brand expression/promotion. Please see the portfolio page for full motion.
