Blood, Feathers, & Fire (WIP)

Blood, Feathers, & Fire is an international journey into works of spiritual power that venerate the divine in the form of women. It explores tangible, participatory artefacts using body art from women artists to emphasize the centrality of women in spiritual contexts, drawing on the work of female artists such as Mary Beth Edelson, Kembra Pfahler, Judy Chicago, Ana Mendieta, Juliana Huxtable, and Zanele Muholi. This project involves curation, editorializing, and advertising.
Learning Outcomes:
The main learning outcome so far is how to express a thematic idea purely through typographic narrative-building while allowing the original artwork to shine.
