In the last week, we were tasked to create a music streaming app focused on a specific genre (that was given) for our final. Out of the five choices, I chose to do mine on K-Pop. I focused on creating an aesthetic that reflects the “Pop” and “Fun” side of K-Pop. The screens we had to create were the Introduction, Onboarding, Home, Mood Selector, Daily Curated Playlists, and Song Selection.
Learning Outcomes:
As this was the first app I ever designed, to be specifically tasked with a certain genre and sections to do raised challenges like how to visually communicate my chosen genre and how to make an experience for users so that they feel that navigating is effective and simple. Through this project specifically, I learned how important is to think critically about creating an experience for users that is a positive journey and how to communicate the visuals of my branding throughout my app.
