Type SF

Type SF, a identity for the annual Type Association convention, reimagined in San Francisco at SF MoMA. This project explores the intersection of type design and cultural history, drawing inspiration from the psychedelic, hand drawn letterforms of the 1960s Haight Ashbury hippie movement. The custom typeface reflects the city’s legacy of radical self expression and artistic rebellion, reinterpreted through a modern lens.
