Web Design for Mount Wilson Observatory

In CRDR-203V Vis Ix Des 1: Intro to UI, under the instruction of Paulson, Tyler G., I undertook the redesign of Mount Wilson Observatory's website. Our goal was to address issues of disorganization, unclear categorization, and user pain points. I focused on enhancing access to weather information and conducted competitive research on similar nonprofits. Our aim was to optimize and create an improved website that prioritizes user needs.
Learning Outcomes:
This project taught me web interaction design, including layout, visual effects, UI design, and user research for UX. I learned HTML/CSS fundamentals and conducted competitive research. Using Figma, I designed wireframes and high-fidelity models. With Webflow, I created engaging visual effects and dynamic interactions, enhancing the user experience.
