ONE OK ROCK- Stand Out Fit In (Album Cover Design)

The goal of this personal project is to make an album design cover for the song, Stand Out Fit In by ONE OK ROCK. This song emphasizes the struggle of being yourself, fitting into a cultural or social norm no matter who you are. I created an original font using different shapes through Photoshop and Illustrator. I combined these shapes to represent the different social norms each person possesses. Just like these letters, our identity is based on the different shapes of our cultural background.
Learning Outcomes:
The world is made up of various social and cultural norms and it is important to understand each individual’s cultural view. The words are surrounded by a set of lines that show, metaphorically, how people tend to force you to be a part of the pattern of social norms so that it is easier to fit in. Our identity can not be described the same way as a set of lines; we all have our own different shapes and backgrounds like these letters.
