SoundScript

This project exams the relationship between sound frequency and art. Two music genres will be used as subjects - neo-soul and avant-garde jazz. Using Frank Ocean’s song ‘Pink + White’ as an example for neo-soul and ‘Lift Up My Eyes’ by Dave Douglas Quintet for avant-garde jazz, this project begins to investigate how the numerical value of these songs’ frequencies could be translated into the world of typography and visualize what ‘good’ frequency of music looks like.
