H-LAB

H-LAB is a dynamic initiative within the Huntington Library. It's a hub for creative exploration, where young minds connect with the institution's rich collections. Through hands-on workshops, digital tools, and collaborative projects, learners of all ages unlock the hidden stories within the Huntington's vast archives. H-LAB believes that knowledge is transformative. Digitized collections become the building blocks for artistic experimentation, data analysis, and playful discovery.
Learning Outcomes:
The main learning outcome from this particular project was how to create a micro-identity that is an exact foil of the macro-identity it stems from—for contrast yet direction relationship. H-LAB compliments the Huntington main identity through its focus on flexibility instead of structure, randomization rather than symmetry, and creative interaction rather than distanced observation.
