The Milk Dilemma

This interactive artwork contrasts Eastern and Western expression attitudes, inspired by the sayings "The crying baby gets the milk" and "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." Traditionally, Chinese culture values restraint, while Americans often embrace directness. This piece explores whether participants identify more with the crying baby, reflecting their cultural influences and innate tendencies.
Learning Outcomes:
Exhibiting in various venues improved my collaboration and setup skills. Initially using spray paint, I switched to inkjet prints for clarity. I enhanced the voting mechanism for accessibility and optimized the layout for better flow: instructions first, then voting, followed by the description. I also introduced 3D sculptures online for digital voting, increasing the exhibit's reach and interactivity.
