Believe The Hype: Graphic Designs Power in Sneaker Culture

My thesis combines my love for sneakers with my study of graphic design, demonstrating how design turns sneakers into cultural icons. Centered on the "Air Ty" project, which pays homage to Tyrone Drake with the Air Max 95, it highlights the power of design in shaping sneaker culture and identity. This journey has deepened my understanding of design's impact, illustrating its role in crafting stories and connecting cultures, marking my growth in both personal interest and academic pursuit.
Learning Outcomes:
Exploring graphic design within sneaker culture, I've seen how design crafts identity and connects communities, transforming sneakers into expressions of self and culture. This journey highlighted design's emotional power and its role in uniting diverse groups, deepening my connection to design and its critical impact on sneaker culture.
