The big bang happens not in an explosion of stars and galaxies, but the birth of godlike beasts that shaped the land and seas. The new gods fall into hibernation from the exertion of creation and continue to regulate the world passively in their slumber. This delicate balance is threatened when the first Progenitor—Chaos—wakes before the others.
