This project is a sequence for a teaser for the short film Fauve. The concept is to use similar visuals of the landscape and lighting and symbolism to that of the beginning and end of the short film to communicate this change within the film from an exciting, fun and wild energy to alarmingly serious, dismal and hopeless. Everything was modeled and rendered in Cinema 4D except for the Fauve lettering which was made with playdough and photographed then composited in.
Learning Outcomes:
From this project I learned much more about adding layers of compositing and little details to perfect the cinematic quality of each frame, as well as employing the various transition techniques I have learned throughout the class to cut from one moment to the next in intriguing and not confusing ways and strengthen the concept of the story. I also learned a lot about compositing analog assets you are photographing yourself into your frames and how to match the lighting and shadows well.
