This project is a transmedia product display prototype for the Japanese Gin, Mizu, I designed. The display of the artwork and product information are held in an organic wavy pattern to give the effect of flowing water when the information moves across it, and further communicate the inspiration of pure water behind the brand. The use of Touch OSC allowed me to simulate the ability to touch either of the two types of Gin offered to switch the information being displayed about that Gin behind it.
Learning Outcomes:
From this project I learned much about translating my existing packaging design branding effectively into a transmedia or motion piece that helps strengthen the concept behind the brand and activate consumer intrigue. I also learned much about using Mad Mapper for custom projections, and learning Touch OSC and how it can simulate the concepts of coding or designing sensors to achieve the effect in application. I also built and sandblasted a frosted acrylic box for the stand
