My Hands Often Destroy
These works, Hobbs' first solo exhibition, are intense and deeply personal, using the artist’s own body as reference for much of the scarred imagery. While it may be initially violent, My Hands Often Destroy is a body of work about healing and the visible and invisible marks that trauma can leave behind. This work is about scars, and the evidence of healing.
