Pasaporte - AOR Final Project

Art of research is a class focused on finding solutions to problems we are yet to face. Our final project would be about the research, not necessarily design aesthetics. My project led me to the discovery of an urgent issue related to Covid-19, that many schools within the LAUSD would soon deal with. The problem was language barriers and site navigation lacking for Spanish speaking parents regarding new guidelines post Covid. My solution was translation hub to better serve this community.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned how assignments in the class every week on various types of research methods in the field got us closer to what our final project may be. Most importantly, I leaned how to solve a problem we are yet to have. I also learned how to quickly puts other all components of my research to develop assets that can serve a community of ESL parents. I also learned about memorandums of understanding and their importance in the real world.
