BioTechnica Fest: Where Science and Creativity Converge to Shape the Future.
My journey began at the Levin Lab, where exploring bioelectricity and regenerative medicine deepened my curiosity for science. I soon realized a larger issue: the public's lack of bioscience knowledge and the U.S. falling behind in biotech, especially compared to China. Determined to bridge this gap, I conceived BioTechnica Fest, a dynamic event merging science with pop culture to reignite interest in STEM and empower young African American men, driving the U.S. toward global biotech leadership.
Learning Outcomes:
Through BioTechnica Fest, I honed my expertise in futures thinking, using tools like futures wheels, STEEPX reports, SWOTs, and competitive audits to anticipate industry trends. I conducted over 15 in-depth interviews to understand my target demographic's needs, leading to a brand strategy that truly resonates. This hands-on approach sharpened my ability to blend research with creative strategy, resulting in a well-rounded and impactful final product.
