Cocteau Twins - Posters
After being assigned Cocteau Twins as my song band, 5 Keywords were made: Eccentric, Eerie, Abstract, Vocal, Ethereal Cocteau Twins was a group made up of members named Will Heggie, Robin Guthrie, Elizabeth Fraser in 1981 and replacing Heggie with multi-instrumentalist Simon Raymonde in 1983. This band continued during 1979-1997 creating Scottish dream pop and ethereal wave music. This poster was created with imagery that I took outside my backyard to correlate with these terms.
Learning Outcomes:
After listening to the album, all the songs have the same atmosphere of an ethereal and mysterious type of music. At first listening to the songs, I thought they were in English only to realize a band is a Scottish group for dream-pop but lyrics of no notable language. Each song has instrumentals starting from the beginning giving it a jazzy instrumental. Later on, the music turns more into an opera-like singing from a female singer.
