Pioneer Works

Pioneer Works is a cultural space in New York where artists and scientists come together to create new ideas. It aims to foster artists at the intersection of art, music, science, and technology. The overall brand identity is inspired by assembling movement between screw and bolt. The logo metaphorically represents how different areas of experts communicate and interact, emphasizing the pioneering spirit and radical mindset of artists.
Learning Outcomes:
This project taught me how to gather and analyze content, which enhanced my research skills. Additionally, I developed how to customize type and expand identity systems and graphic elements from the logo. The screw and bolt graphic was inspired by the history of the Pioneer Works (PW) building. The logo expanded to serve as a versatile graphic system, and brand typography was born based on the icons representing the letters” a, e, o.”
