False Memory Project
My project explores the fluid nature of memory through paintings with 3D elements, depicting a Friendsgiving where my friends and I unknowingly ate edibles. As the effects set in, our perceptions warped, creating surreal, conflicting memories. This series examines how that shared moment fractured into different versions, reflecting the concept of "false memory" and questioning the reliability of shared experiences.
Learning Outcomes:
I explored a new approach to creating illustrations by working with materials such as patching compound, Sculpey clay, acrylic paint, wooden canvas, and gesso.
