Polynesian Fruit Dragon Portrait

Polynesian Fruit Dragons are a fictional species that I've been developing. They are tropical mammalian dragons that live in the Samoan, Polynesian, and Hawai'ian islands and are as intelligent as humans. The dragons coexist peacefully with native Hawai'ians until the arrival of European settlers. They then have to fight against the idea that they are nothing but mere beasts, and work to break through their oppression. The piece is made with acrylics, markers, and pastels on canvas.
