Book Covers

These are a series of book covers I've designed that show my ability to work with hand lettering, set type, digital media, and traditional. Book covers are some of my favorite work to create. I love the challenge of designing based on plot without giving anything important away. Of course I also love to read.

FRANKENSTEIN - This book cover was made with scanned collage body parts. I challenged myself to work digitally and traditionally on one piece. I used a water ink for the type, eventually scanning it and putting it over the image.

I love sci-fiction and DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP: is absolutely at the top of my list. I wanted to create something more abstract, that captured the ideas of the novel without giving it away.

This was a reverse application piece. Sometimes you make art for something you haven't read yet, and Erased is exactly that. I created this digitally using traditional scanned textures I made in my studio.

THE GIFT OF FEAR- This is an oil painting created for this popular novel. I wanted to act as graphic designer and illustrator for this project.
