Future Plant Fossils

This project explores the often-overlooked plant life of Mt. Wilson, reimagining its presence through a speculative future where plants have gone extinct. It envisions a scenario in which post-human civilizations attempt to reconstruct and interpret today’s flora through fossilized remnants of future plants. By shifting the perspective of time and existence, the project aims to challenge our perception of nature’s transience and encourage deeper reflection on environmental awareness.
