FOLKal Point Gallery Exhibition

A series of work based on the German folkloric figure, Krampus. Analog and folk art practices were utilized in order to create cohesive and tactile pieces. This project was part of a gallery exhibition called FOLKal Point for a study away program to Berlin, Germany.

Process:

When I began this project I instinctively knew that I wanted to create work based on Krampus. German folk art and European medieval art was my core influence for the design language. Through sketches, ideations, and cultural research I was able to work in an educated manner.

Learning Outcomes:

This entire project was a test of trying new methods and trusting pure instinct. I learned how to adapt under a tight schedule and how to be innovative in finding new methods of execution.
