MAMO

MAMO is an affordable housing project for families that are affected by the Eaton fire in Altadena, California. The concept is to let things age beautifully, embrace the wear & tear, and be one with nature.

Each room is modular and customizable to the client’s needs. The design aims to evoke the Buddhist concepts of transience, impermanence, and ephemerality through the use of natural materials, patina, and perforations that interplay with light and shadows.
