Moth-Mart

An animated short film inspired by the legend of the Moth-Man cryptid as well as the cartoons of the 1970s, Moth-Mart is about a young convenience store clerk in Pointe-Pleasent whose evening turns into a customer service nightmare when the mysterious Moth-Man arrives at his front door to do some late night shopping.

Process:

Over the course of two classes, I directed, boarded, designed, wrote and animated for this film. With the help of a small group, I went through the preproduction process for the film, this included storyboarding and character design work. where the second course focused on the animation process and creating a work pipeline as well as working with a composer to finish the project.

Learning Outcomes:

Working with / managing a team, creating a functional work pipeline, improving animation and storyboarding skills and delivering a finished film by the end of the class.
