Age-related bilateral hearing loss, known as presbycusis, is a prevalent condition among older adults that significantly affects their quality of life. My 85-year-old grandfather suffers from severe presbycusis and can barely hear sounds more than two meters away. This inability to perceive sounds often makes him feel insecure and neglected. While realizing that his daily life was greatly affected by his hearing loss, I feel obligated to help seniors like him to improve their quality of life through research and design. In this project, I designed an integrated app system and physical product to enhance the daily lives of seniors with presbycusis, leveraging technologies such as voice capture, AI-driven recognition, and intelligent.
