Spin

The 950 Building at ArtCenter College of Design is widely recognized for its striking industrial aesthetic. However, the heavy, industrial atmosphere can also feel imposing. The scale, materiality, and rigidity of the environment contribute to a sense of pressure and constraint, creating an underlying feeling of stress for students and faculty who work there over extended periods. In this project, I installed an interactive hallway screen that invites passersby to interact with gentle, nature-inspired colors and visuals to soften the surrounding environment.
