Tōku Made, To a Far Away Place

Tōku Made, To a Far Away Place is a cozy 2-D game concept centered on the life of Souta, a young train conductor who seeks escape from the urban jungle of Osaka by running a vintage trolley line to help passengers reach their distant destinations.

The project was made in collaboration with 3 students based on studying abroad in Japan and our experiences using public transportation to explore a range of landscapes and our encounters. In a period of 6 weeks we developed, produced, and published a full, industry-ready RPG-style game trailer showcasing characters interactions, picturesque scenery, customizations, collectibles, and UI animations.
