Cancelled
I created this drawing during my fourth year of Undergraduate study back at UC Irvine. This drawing was meant to shine a light on how social media has created a new movement of sorts, otherwise known as "cancel culture." Public figures and celebrities face tons of backlash every single day for any little thing they do. If they cross the line to a certain point, then they'll get called out for their actions and ultimately end up "cancelled."
Learning Outcomes:
This project taught me a lot about drawing very realistic figures. I usually don't ever draw realistically, but I decided to take that approach with this project and I believe it turned out very well. Shading was tedious but so worth it. This is also one of the first projects I created where I utilized photoshop to create the composition then blew it up on a projector and traced out the composition exactly how it was on the PS file.
