The Crow

My stop motion puppet I made based on a crow I've always drawn. He is sort of like that little voice in your head that either helps you out or desires chaos.

Process:

A lot of wiring and layering of foam with bandages, trying to get the perfect smooth surface. Then I have to coat it with liquid latex and also find the perfect color to put in the latex to get the best crow color, without him being completely black. The beak and wings are all pinnable to move them around easily, while the eyes are just basically stickers to make them easy to look around.

Learning Outcomes:

Puppet making is a lot, I mean, a lot of trial and error with getting the color wrong, or even breaking pieces you just made, and having to start all over. It's a lot of small details that only you know and only you love about your puppet. Overall patience.
