BS in Product Design — Product DesignArc'teryx Continuum Pack
Continuum is a conceptual project for Arc’teryx that explores adaptive soft goods designed for movement across changing environments. The project focuses on creating a system that responds to shifts in weather, activity, and intensity, allowing the user to transition seamlessly between conditions. Through modularity, material selection, and functional detailing, the design supports continuous performance without interruption.
The process began by exploring carry systems and how users interact with their gear. This evolved into research on one-bag travel, studying efficiency and adaptability in real-world use.
By analyzing brand language and identifying a target user, I defined key needs across changing environments. Through iterative prototyping and refinement, the design developed into a modular system that balances carry, movement, and adaptability.
- Designed carry systems informed by real-world use and one-bag travel principles
- Applied brand analysis to define user and design direction
- Developed modular solutions through iterative prototyping
- Strengthened my ability to translate concepts into full-scale physical prototypes
