Pivot Collection

Pivot is a series of desk accessories designed to create clearer boundaries between work and rest through simple, intentional interactions.

The clock’s hinged cover completely conceals the time, helping users take breaks without the pressure of watching the clock. The stationery tray keeps everyday tools and writing instruments accessible on the lid when open. The organizer hides distractions and electronic devices out of view, while the closed lid doubles as a ledge for books, journals, or framed photos.

Process:

Sketch ideations and a hands-on process using mat board and cardboard prototypes to iterate on form, function, and manufacturability. Then, we used SolidWorks sheet metal to build detailed CAD models that was used for the tech pack.

Learning Outcomes:

We were tasked to design a set of products that expressed Danese Milano's brand. We were required to create a detailed tech pack for producing working prototypes with professional fabricators.
