Stars Apart

A young ballet dancer is confronted with tragic news that her dance partner won't be able to dance with her tonight. Does she decide to dance? Being mentored by traditional animation director and art directors Eric Goldberg and Susan Goldberg (team on Rhapsody in Blue of Fantasia 2000,) I led this story without dialogue to practice clarity in my shot compositions and acting choices. Often, a person processing grief process alone and in the quiet of their room. A pantomime animation exactly captures the quiet that the character then the audience will experience.
