Principles of Animation
Each week we were assigned a specific principle of animation. Our job was to animate an observation from our daily life that best illustrates the principle. By the end of the project, we created 6 animations total, edited together and arranged in a grid collection (taxonomy) rendered as 1 video. For my project, I decided to incorporate the theme of games and play to unite each Principle of Animation. This is what led me to the title of "Principles of Play."
Learning Outcomes:
I learned the following things over the duration of this project: 1) The sharp learning curve that AfterEffects has for many students, including me. 2) How to create and modify basic geometric shapes in AfterEffects 3) How to set these objects in motion, paying special attention to variances in scale, form, and speed to create a dynamic composition. 4) How to incorporate assets created in Photoshop and Illustrator into AfterEffects
