Light and Space

This project is a rebranding Artbound series that introduces Southern California arts and cultures, including the logo and visual system (booklet, poster, Instagram carousel) of the chosen episode "Light and Space" which is the art movement related to minimalism and geometric abstraction originated from Southern California in the 1960s. For graphics, I used yellow gradient to portray the shades of the light and halftone graphics to reinterpret graphics in 60s.
Learning Outcomes:
For this project, I explored different image-making processes, for example, reinterpretation of the artist's works with overlapping and blending images and colors for engawa pages(intro visual pages introducing the contents) and graphic images using simple geometric shapes and lines with halftone graphics inspired by 60s.

Artbound Logo Redesign: since Artbound is an art and culture series in Southern California, I took an idea from the mural and street art from the Southern California to redesign the logo.
