Type Lyon

I created a typographic wordmark and visual identity for a Typographic Design Conference. This identity is centered around the physical art of typing on the computer, specifically the blinking underscore. Due to school term constraints, only a t-shirt, badge, and posters were required. However, this identity could be developed further to include signage, a website, invitations, and other assets
Learning Outcomes:
I enjoyed finding new typefaces for this project and the challenge of creating a poster without using imagery. It was a unique subject in that we were creating a type identity about type, not many times I have designed for designers. I learned how that creating the bones of an identity is truly what enables you to build it out. You need a leading concept in order to build the system out. This class prepared me for Communication Design 4.
