THE 20 YEAR SCRAMBLE

My CD3 assignment was to design a narrative book based on an 'ism. With the sudden departure of US forces and refugee evacuations on the news after nearly 20 year of occupation, I chose militarism. My narrative book project focuses on the US occupation in Afghanistan with an experimental theme of "communication breakdown." A timeline of significant events is featured throughout the bottom of the book. It's finish size is 7.5"x9.5" accompanied by a 24"x36" book release poster.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned the fundamentals of book design. I learned how to research and gather essays to combine together for the content of my book. Every week, updates were made that taught me how to carefully improve the narrative of my book design. With valuable feedback, I learned how to properly use color, textures, and images to create visually interesting graphics.
