Specimen Guide

This is a Specimen Guide for Maison Neue, with inspiration taken from the work of director David Lynch. I wanted to focus on a movie I haven't seen before in order to challenge myself, the movie being Lucky. Maison Neue is a somewhat recent typeface created in 2017. This book aims to show you the typeface along with its special characteristics to give the reader a better understanding as well as build interest.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned a lot from this project, what really stuck out to me was just how tedious type and layout can be. You can be zoomed in to the smallest pixel making micro-adjustments. It really made me appreciate type more. I also learned how important a good photo is as it can really make or break a layout not just resolution-wise but composition as well.
