Typo Berlin Identity

Typo Berlin is a fictional typography conference taking place in Berlin featuring star typographers. The assignment was to express its identity only through typography (and supporting elements like rules, blocks, and emphatic punctuation). There were several approaches that were required (font combination, shape-based letterforms) and others that we were meant to come up with on our own. Then we carry the style of the logo throughout the final piece.
Learning Outcomes:
I learned a few different purely typographic methods for creating a mini-identity that I may have never tried otherwise. I learned how to continue the theme of identity expressed in the logo in a larger composition without being too one-note. Finally, I learned how typographic spacing can be optically quite different at larger sizes, viewed from a distance.
