Association Typographique Sitka 2023

Typographique Sitka 2023 typographic conference, taking place in Sitka, Alaska. My typography takes on some of the geographic aspects of the city itself, gathering inspiration from the body of water surrounding it. There is also a small Shakespeare theater where this event is being held, which heavily influencing the typography in the design.
With Sitka being surrounded by water and the conference held in an old Shakespearean theater, I played into the idea of motion mixed with tradition. Using a serif with high contrast to pull in the idea of tradition as well as introducing a liquid motion.
