Principles of Animation

For my midterm for Motion 1 we were tasked with learning the principles of animation and creating animations that embodied each of these principles (Ease, Mass, Follow Through, Cause and Effect and Exaggeration) . Each 5 second animation was made on After Effects and is based off an observation from daily life and then abstracted.
Learning Outcomes:
Through this project I not only learned about the principles of animations but how to observe. Given the task to make animations inspired by my daily life led me to become more mindful of the intricate and unique way things moved around me. I then learned how to embody these movements in an abstract and simple way. Creating a style guide to unify all these animations was also an important part of the creation of the reel.
