Typographic Structures In 6 Phases

The design research of typographic structures in 6 phases is for Graduate Typography 3. Some phases are obeying the rules in typography while others are focus on expressive forms. This exercise not only trains a type designer's foundation on typography layout and grid systems, it also discusses forms on different medias. Based on that concept, I designed the cover and guide system inside the book with Mac UI system to push a further discussion between digital and printing media.
Learning Outcomes:
The project emphasizes the importance of adhering to established rules and conventions in typography, as well as experimenting with more expressive and creative forms. Through this exercise, I did not only develop a solid foundation in typography layout and grid systems, but also gain insight into how these concepts apply across different media formats.
