American Master | Hedy Lamarr

Hedy Lamarr is a Hollywood movie star in the 1930s. She is famous for her beauty but few people know that she is also an inventor. She collaborated with a composer to invent the technology "frequency hopping", which played a vital role in obtaining information during the World war 2 and could be used to eavesdrop and secure radios. This technology helped later in the invention of wifi and Bluetooth. The purpose of this project was that I needed to combine her beauty with her intelligence.

Learning Outcomes:

Coordinating the relationships between letters is very difficult but also the most interesting part. The concept of Wordmark is to use thin lines and smooth curves to show her beauty, and combine the retro structure that is more Couier (for example, the serif under r will remind people of some fonts in the last century) and the square terminal to show her wisdom. There will also have a booklet and poster design following it, which will be a complete system.
