Reimagining Comic-Con's graphic identity underscored the need for inclusivity in design, ensuring it speaks to everyone. The redesign showcased the pixel's role in the logo, representing Comic-Con's mainstays—cosplay, gaming, and storytelling—adapted for the digital age. This effort aimed to blend innovation and nostalgia, crafting an emblem that reflects the event's legacy while embracing the future and fostering an inclusive community.
Learning Outcomes:
Redefining Comic-Con's brand taught me the importance of inclusivity in visual design, making it accessible to everyone. It linked Comic-Con's core—cosplay, gaming, storytelling—to the digital era, with the logo's pixel symbolizing individuality and unity. I learned to merge modernity with tradition, creating an emblem that honors the past while welcoming an inclusive future, showcasing design's ability to cultivate a welcoming community.
